One of the surprising things about fractal art (that can be found in ASCII art as well) is that it doesn’t come associated with any particular style. With this artform, it’s possible to recreate many existing artistic styles, or develop one’s own personal style without restrictions.

I started out with this tutorial, which explains how to create pseudo-calligraphy works in Ultra Fractal. Sadly, I couldn’t do something elegant with it, so I chose to do something intentionally chaotic instead – still within the oriental theme.
